Public Transport
The nearest train station to Bold Tendencies is Peckham Rye, servicing the Overground Line from Highbury & Islington and Clapham Junction, and South Eastern services from London Bridge and London Victoria. Our local buses are the 12, 36, 37, 63, 78, 171, 343, 363, and 436.

Peckham Rye Station is 150m from our main entrance.

On Foot
Bold Tendencies is a short walk from Peckham Rye train station. When leaving the station turn left down Rye Lane (towards McDonalds) and cross the road at the pedestrian crossing. Santander bank will be on your right hand side and you will be facing Peckhamplex Cinema. Walk towards the cinema and turn right – here on your left you will find the staircase leading up to Bold Tendencies. Total walking distance is 150m. Please note Peckham Rye station does not have step free access.

You will find cycle parking opposite Peckhamplex cinema (95A Rye Lane, London SE15 4ST). Check out Southwark Council’s Cycle Parking and Security for more information on local cycle parking options. Bikes cannot enter the building and are not permitted on the rooftop.

By Car
There is a pay and display car park on the ground level of the building, accessible from Cerise Road, SE15 5HQ. At the end of Cerise Road turn left at the mini roundabout. The car park is free in the evening and at weekends. For drop offs by car and taxi this is the best location. From the car park travel through the basement of the building to the alleyway, turn right and continue to the end where you will find our main entrance.

There is limited Pay & Display on the ground level of the site. We strongly advise that you do not arrive by car if possible, but if necessary see Southwark Council’s Find Somewhere to Park for more information on local parking options. If you are a Blue Badge holder, there are five disabled parking bays available on the ground floor of the site, accessible from Cerise Road, SE15 5HQ.

Taxi Ranks
The nearest taxi rank is South East Cars, which is a 7 minute walk away. If you are using a taxi app such as Uber or Bolt for drop off or collection please use Peckham Town Centre Car Park, Cerise Road, SE15 5HQ as the address, which is the pay and display car park on the ground floor of the building. For all access requirements please see our Access Page and for further enquiries please email The inbox is frequently monitored and we aim to respond to access-related queries within a minimum of 2 working days. We advise that you arrange access requests in advance of your visit, however these can also be arranged with the security team at the main entrance on arrival.

You must be accompanied to use the lifts. Lifts are located on the ground floor of the site. They will take you to the concrete covered spaces on Levels 7 and 8, where step-free access is available throughout both levels as well as the rooftop on Levels 9 and 10. Use of the lifts can be arranged at the main entrance with a member of the security team.

The Toilet Block is located towards the far right-hand corner of the rooftop, behind the Derek Jarman Garden. There are fourteen eco-compostable toilet cubicles, one accessible toilet with baby changing facilities and one wall hung urinal. All facilities are gender neutral. If you require a Changing Places Toilet please follow the link to find the nearest facility. 

Due to the nature of the site there is limited covered space. We advise all visitors to dress comfortably and wear appropriate footwear in line with the forecasted weather. We have a small number of umbrellas that are available for visitors to borrow from Visitor Services, located under the Peckham Observatory.

Prepare for your visit

We are a public space and the safety of our staff and visitors is our first priority. In order to ensure that everyone visit is safe and enjoyable we ask all visitors to kindly read and follow our site guidelines:

• Bold Tendencies is an outdoor exhibition space. Please treat our site and sculpture in the same way as you would other exhibition spaces.

• Respect, listen and follow any information provided by our staff or security.

• Do not climb, damage, sit or lean on the sculptures.

• Take great care when walking on the site, especially at dusk.

• Keep drinks away from the artworks and edge of the perimeter wall.

• Photoshoots must be arranged in advance.

• No cycling, skateboards, adult scooters or ball games.

• Please take responsibility for any children in your charge.

• No glassware or alcohol purchased off site.

• Dogs are welcome but you are responsible for any pets in your charge.

• We do not accept responsibility for any injuries, loss or damage whatsoever sustained due to negligence while at Bold Tendencies.
