Afrofusion Dance Workshop with Akay

Afrobeat is now one of the most recognisable music genres in the world. The term was coined in the 1970s by Fela Kuti. The sound is an eclectic combination of West African musical styles, including Fuji music and highlife, infused originally with American jazz creating amazing rhythms.
This dance workshop is led by world-class performer Akay. She’ll introduce you new steps, moves in so that you can follow her choreography! Come and get your body moving to the amazing percussive soundtrack of music fromAngola, Ghana and Nigeria!
