24. 07. 2016 7:00 PM
Schoenberg’s seminal Pierrot Lunaire will be performed as part of Multi-Story Orchestra’s expanded chamber music series in the Straw Bale Auditorium. The piece is the story of a moonstruck clown, played by a soprano accompanied by an ensemble of violin/viola, clarinet, flute, cello and piano. He sings 21 poems about love, sex and religion, violence, crime, and blasphemy, and finally returns home with his past haunting him.
With Raphaela Papadakis (soprano) and Christopher Stark (conductor)
