Bold Tendencies

As a not-for-profit organisation, Bold Tendencies relies on the generosity of our supporters to deliver a world-class programme.

Our rooftop is a space for everyone. Alongside new Visual Arts commissions and Live Events, our Creative Learning programme fosters local connections with schools and community groups in Southwark, encouraging free access to the arts.

Tickets for our Live programme are subsidised by up to 90% and all Creative Learning participants are given the chance to benefit from free Community Tickets, making our events open and accessible to the widest possible audiences.

Creativity can take us beyond our limits and Bold Tendencies is a beyond the limits place.

£50 funds materials for our on-site Self Led Activities for families and children.

£100 funds a Creative Learning Facilitator to deliver a Backstage Pass session, breaking down the barrier between artist and audience.

£250 provides 15 unpaid carers or local community members with free and accessible seats at live events through our Community Ticketing initiative.

£300 funds an Artist Placement session in a local school or community group, taking Bold Tendencies beyond its car park home.

£500 funds five Creative Workshops, benefitting up to 150 community members from local schools, groups and organisations.

£1,000 provides a local young person with 10 shifts as a Visitor Engagement Assistant, paid at London Living Wage.

£2,500 funds the annual maintenance of one of our beloved permanent artworks, such as the iconic pink staircase: hi boo i love you by Simon Whybray.

£5,000 assists us to support artists to produce a site-specific commission or deliver a Live Event.

All Founding Friends will be invited to a Rooftop Breakfast and Curator-led Tour in May 2025.
