The Bold Tendencies Art Trainee Programme ran for eight consecutive summer seasons from 2014 — 2021. Founded by Diana Córdoba Barrios, our Managing Director, The Art Trainee Programme was inspired by Diana’s personal experience on the Internship Programme at The Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice.
Committed to removing barriers to entry for young people interested in a career in the world of the arts, culture and creative industries, the programme aimed to give participants immersion in the day-to-day life of our organisation and help develop professional skills, as well as fostering long-term connections between participants and our wider networks.
The programme ran across our 18-week summer season and was completed by 215 Trainees, joining us from all parts of the UK and further afield. They are all part of our Art Trainee Alumni Network.
Young people have a huge potential to add value to wider cultural life and we continue to evolve how we can nurture access to professional opportunities critical to kick-starting a career in the exciting world of arts and culture, as well as building our network into the future.
Whilst our Art Trainee Programme is no longer ongoing, Bold continues to offer Working and Learning Opportunities. Please refer to our Creative Learning page for more information.
