L-E-V, Sharon Eyal & Gai Behar

L-E-V (meaning heart) is the dance company led by Sharon Eyal, one of the greatest and most radical choreographers working today. Founded by Sharon Eyal and Gai Behar five years ago, L-E-V made its London debut at Sadler’s Wells in 2016.

In July 2018 L-E-V returned to Sadler’s Wells to perform a new work, Love Chapter 2, and presented a new event OCD Love specially considered for Bold Tendencies. L-E-V is the confluence of movement, music, lighting, fashion, art and technology. It could be equally at home in a nightclub or at the opera house, and now at Bold Tendencies in the top floors of a brutalist multi-storey car park.

The Multi-Story Orchestra

The Multi-Story Orchestra presents extraordinary performances in unexpected settings, creating live classical music experiences performed by incredible musicians.

The Orchestra was started by composer Kate Whitley and conductor Christopher Stark. The Orchestra’s first performance at Bold Tendencies was The Rite of Spring in 2011, and since then they have performed an annual programme of orchestral and chamber concerts across the summer as well as running workshops and performing with local schools and community groups in Peckham.

Loud Crowd

Polly Graham, an Opera Director whose work is widely acknowledged (most recently she worked with David Pountney for two years at Welsh National Opera), founded Loud Crowd to deliver high-quality, innovative opera and music theatre work that reaches out to new audiences.

Loud Crowd makes opera an art-form which expresses and responds to contemporary social, philosophical and political issues, contributing to public discourse and offering a cultural voice for our time.

Loud Crowd and Bold Tendencies are entering the second year of their collaboration to bring opera to the site which began

in 2018 with a new production of The Emperor of Atlantis, and a rehearsed reading of YOUNG BLOOD!
